IAICT 2023 was organized and sponsored by the IEEE Indonesia Communications Society Chapter and proudly supported by Telkom University. This conference served as a platform for the convergence of two vital aspects of modern technology: Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence, further bolstered by the innovations in Communications Technology. The synergy of these fields promises to shape the future of technology and industry. The 2023 IEEE International Conference on Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, and Communications Technology (IAICT 2023) was a groundbreaking event held from July 13 to July 15, 2023, taking place in Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta – Bali, Indonesia and online participation through the virtual platform Zoom. For online participation, all presenters are required to provide video presentation of their work in advance, but still be present online during the Q&A session.
IAICT 2023 boasted an impressive lineup of contributors, with a total of 354 International Technical Program Committee (TPC) members hailing from 52 countries and 153 International Reviewers from 40 countries. Their expertise and dedication ensured the high quality and rigor of the papers presented at the conference. IAICT 2023 received an outstanding response, with more than 152 papers submitted from 36 countries. The rigorous review process resulted in the acceptance of 91 papers from 30 countries, reflecting an acceptance ratio of 59.9%. This stringent selection process was aimed at maintaining the utmost quality in the papers presented, emphasizing the importance of groundbreaking research and innovative ideas. The registered papers in at IAICT 2023 has 71 papers:
- Artificial Intelligence, which featured 46 papers exploring the latest developments and applications of AI.
- Communications, with 15 papers delving into advancements in communication technologies and networks.
- Industry 4.0, encompassing 10 papers that discussed the transformative impact of Industry 4.0 on manufacturing and beyond.
With 71 registered papers, IAICT 2023 offered a rich and diverse array of insights, research findings, and technological innovations that are poised to shape the future of these fields. It was a truly collaborative and enlightening experience for all attendees, fostering connections and sparking new ideas that will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the world of technology and industry.
The first day of the IAICT 2023 conference was the opening speech by Chair of IAICT 2023, Mr. Muhammad Nasrun. His opening speech not only welcomed the attendees but also set the tone for the entire conference, emphasizing the significance of the topics at hand IAICT 2023. Following the opening speech, the conference transitioned into a session of Keynote Speeches, where distinguished experts shared their insights and knowledge on cutting-edge subjects. The first keynote speaker was Professor Ir. Endra Joelianto, Ph.D., a renowned figure in the field of Instrumentation and Control Research. Professor Joelianto hails from the Faculty of Industrial Technology at the prestigious Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Indonesia. His keynote address revolved around the intriguing topic of “Intelligent Transportation Systems with Learning Control.” This theme undoubtedly captured the attention of the audience, as it explores the fusion of intelligent systems and control mechanisms within the context of transportation, a domain with profound implications for the future. Continuing the conference welcomed its second keynote speaker, Professor Dr. Igor V. Kotenko. Professor Kotenko is a distinguished scholar associated with the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS). His expertise lies in the field of Visual Analytics, particularly focusing on cyber security. The topic of his keynote speech was titled “Visual analytics for cyber security: State-of-the-Art, Challenges, and Applications.” In a world increasingly reliant on digital systems and networks, Professor Kotenko’s insights into visual analytics and its role in safeguarding against cyber threats were both timely and invaluable.
The following agenda included parallel paper presentations, with sessions divided between onsite presenters and online presenters. This format, a tradition from previous years, allowed for a diverse range of research and ideas to be shared and discussed. As a fitting conclusion to the conference, participants were treated to a tour of Bali’s captivating tourist destinations, offering a blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. It was an opportunity for attendees to unwind, connect with fellow participants, and experience the unique charm of Bali, ensuring that IAICT 2023 not only enriched their minds but also left them with memorable experiences of this beautiful island.
