IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter Humanitarian Program : Distribution of Flash Flood Relief Aid in Sumatra

The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Indonesia Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service by distributing relief aid to communities affected by flash floods in Sumatra. The distribution process was supported by volunteers from the charity organization Amal Produktif Indonesia.

The assistance provided was intended to address essential daily needs, particularly basic cooking equipment, including gas stoves, regulators, and rice cookers. These items were carefully selected to support affected households in resuming their daily routines, especially in fulfilling fundamental needs such as food preparation.

Through collaboration with charitable organizations and volunteers operating directly in disaster-affected areas, the aid distribution was conducted in a targeted and effective manner, ensuring that assistance reached the intended beneficiaries. This initiative reflects the IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter’s broader commitment to supporting the well-being of Indonesian communities, complementing its core activities in research, education, and professional development.

The IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter remains committed to making meaningful contributions to society, particularly in emergency situations such as natural disasters. Through this relief effort, the Chapter hopes to assist those who are affected by flash flood in Sumatra in gradually restoring their daily lives.
