The IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter successfully held the third session of its Webinar Series: Selected Topics in Telecommunications on Saturday, 16 November 2024. This session focused on exploring advanced topics in spectrum frequency observation, radio network monitoring, and spectrum sensing for 5G and beyond, featuring insightful presentations from distinguished experts in the field.
The first speaker, Eka Kusumawardhani, S.T., M.T., from Universitas Tanjungpura and an IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter Officer, delivered a compelling presentation on SDR in Spectrum Frequency Observation and Radio Network Monitoring. She shared valuable insights into the applications of Software-Defined Radio (SDR) in monitoring radio networks and observing spectrum frequency, showcasing its potential to enhance telecommunications infrastructure.
The second speaker, Dr. Iswandi, S.T., M.Eng., from Gadjah Mada University and also an IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter Officer, presented on Spectrum Sensing for 5G and Beyond. His presentation highlighted how spectrum sensing plays a crucial role in enabling 5G technologies and paving the way for next-generation communication systems.
