IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter and ARS University Launch ARStrobot Webinar 2026

On May 13, 2026, the opening of the ARStrobot webinar was held online via Zoom Meeting. The webinar, themed “Youth IoT Workshop & Drone Pilot 2026,” aimed to introduce the use of drone technology in supporting various humanitarian needs, such as logistics distribution during disasters, emergency response, and humanitarian missions in affected areas. This event was part of a collaboration between the IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter and ARS University, in association with elementary and secondary schools, to provide a workshop on future technologies for the younger generation who are aware of technological advancements.

The event began with an opening speech by the Vice Rector for Collaboration and Innovation at ARS University, Wiseto Agung, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and professional organizations in building an innovative technology learning ecosystem. Next, a keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Alfin Hikmaturokhman, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, as Chairman of the IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter 2026. In his session, he discussed developments in communication technology and the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as opportunities for applying drone technology across various sectors related to societal and humanitarian needs.

In addition to serving as the kickoff for the webinar, this event also marked a significant milestone through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Adhirajasa Reswara Sanjaya University (ARS University) and the IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter. This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergies in the development of educational programs, research, and technological activities in the future. The event was attended by representatives from the IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter, ARS University, and several schools involved in the workshop program, creating a broader space for collaboration between the academic world, professional organizations, and educational institutions.
