
The IBITeC 2023 conference held on November 9-10, 2023, showcased global cooperation and innovation in healthcare technology. Supported by the IEEE ComSoc Indonesian Chapter and organized by multiple institutions including Telkom University Institute of Technology Purwokerto, Universitas Diponegoro’s CBIOM3S, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Telkom University, and IEEE Student Branch UII, this event played a vital role in international research collaborations.
The conference drew researchers from various countries such as Bangladesh, China, India, Iraq, Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and notably, Indonesia. IBITeC 2023 aimed to facilitate cross-border research exchanges, exploring the theme “Post Pandemic Transformation Technologies in Supporting The Global Healthcare System,” emphasizing technology’s critical role in reshaping the healthcare system post-pandemic.
Distinguished scholars presented at the conference. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Daniel Teichmann discussed “Unobtrusive Monitoring of Physiological Signals,” Assoc Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Nasrul Humaimi Bin Mahmood explored “Empowering Disability: The Role of AI in Biomedical Engineering,” and Prof. Tomohiko Igasaki presented “Cardio-respiratory Measurements and Analyses for Social and Clinical Applications.”.
Out of 81 submissions, only 37 were accepted, maintaining IBITeC’s high-quality standards with a 51.9% acceptance rate. IBITeC 2023 played a pivotal role in advancing biomedical instrumentation research and technology. The innovations introduced at this conference are expected to positively impact global healthcare, especially in addressing post-pandemic challenges.
